A wise person once told me, Be You. For such a long time, I struggled with this concept. How can I be me in business? Won't this limit my ability to attract clients? Shouldn't I cast the net wide? Isn't that the best way to bring them in, build a thriving business and ultimately, be successful?
Turns out......nup! Not right at all. I struggled for no reason. It really is that simple. Just be you. Be you, and YOUR people will be attracted to YOU. Your people are the ones you want to work with, and they want to work with you. It's like a match made in heaven.
The best bit, you'll enjoy building and nurturing relationships with your clients. You'll wake up in the morning and you won't be able to wait to get started (most days anyway, can't guarantee the kids won't wake you up ever again so sorry, you'll probably still be tired and unmotivated some days - insert palm to forehead emoji here - argh!). Your business will thrive if you are comfortable just being you. Comfortable in the knowledge that you are not everyone’s cup of tea, but you are someones and it just so happens that there’s more than one someone out there!
I’ve now fully embraced this principle. I am me, and it shows. My website is all me and I couldn’t be prouder of myself. Proud that I let go of my fear and decided put ME out there.
